The greens are relatively small, extremely fast and have a wavy motion to challenge the most experienced golfer.

The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-6 that plays to 638 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 115 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 434 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at American Legion Country Club is # 15, a 115 yard par-3.

I have played this course numerous times and I like it. Several greens are too small and the first two holes leave much to be desired. The staff is great, the price is greater and the views are unmatched. I have never had a bad round there.

Long and challenging, course has been in it's best condition over the past three years that it has been in a very long time...Great place to vacation with lodging about 10 miles up the road...Lodging is near Raystown Lake and several other golf courses nearby...would be a great trip for the whole family. Very beautiful scenery all around. Could also make an early trip to see a PSU football game and play a round of golf.

I play this course often because the price is excellent for the area & quality of the course.
